What We Do

Deliver Brail Qur’an trainings for visually impaired(blind) students in different parts of the country.

Collect and distribute Remedan Iftar supplies to visually impaired (blind) individuals in different parts of the country.

Provide pocket money to very needy visually impaired students.

Prepare awareness creation program about impairment using various media outlets.

Provide seed money for selected visually impaired individuals to start their own business.

Abdellah Ibnu Umi Mektum Qur’an Association is a certified religious non-governmental organization aimed at dissemination of authenticated Islamic teachings to Muslim Ethiopians in general and persons with disabilities in particular. It was founded by visually impaired Muslim students. Since its inception in 2009 E.C, Abdellah Ibnu Ummi Mektum Qur’an Association has been devoutly working in teaching braille Qur’an for Muslim Visually Impaired(blind) Individuals and simultaneously disseminating the Brail Qur’an in different parts of the country.

Becoming the center for East African Blind Muslims as its Vision, our organization currently has regional Branches in Sebeta, Gonder, Adama,Dessie and Mekane Selam in addition to its Head Office in Addis Ababa.
